Bio

Somarowthu Gani Lakshmi is a Assistant Professor (OC) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati Campus. Her research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Image Processing.

She received her Master of Technology (M. Tech.) in Computer Science and Technology from J.N.T.U., Kakinada (2017) and a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from the same university (2014).

She has over six years of teaching experience, having worked as an Assistant Professor at Adarsh College of Engineering (2017–2021) and Malla Reddy College of Engineering, Hyderabad (2021–2023). She has published multiple research papers in reputed journals and conferences, including IEEE and Elsevier. She also received the Best Paper Award at NIT Mizoram for her research on DDoS prevention. She has completed certifications like NPTEL Deep Learning (IIT Madras, 2024).
