Dr. Lavanya SD is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Panchakarma at School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri, since June 2025. She completed her BAMS (2013–2019) and MD in Panchakarma (2020–2024) from the same institution, establishing a strong academic and clinical foundation in Ayurveda.
During her Post garaduation journey, Dr. Lavanya has actively participated in various national and international seminars, presenting papers on key topics in Ayurveda. She was awarded Best Paper at the International Seminar held at Parul University in 2021, and at the 5th Global Ayurveda Festival held at Thiruvananthapuram (TVM) in 2023.
She was also involved in the development of an e-Module Application for Panchakarma, funded by the Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, Ministry of AYUSH.
She began her academic career at Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre, Pune, where she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Panchakarma from September 2024. She later joined Amrita School of Ayurveda, to further contribute in academics and clinical training.
During her academic carrier , Delivered Guest lecture in Transitional curriculum program for First year 2024-25 UG batch at Dr. D.Y.Patil College of Ayurved & Research centre , Pimpri, Pune on the topic “Practical aspects of Panchakarma”.
Conducted Guest lecture in Monthly Journal club activity for First year 2024-25 PG batch at Dr. D.Y.Patil College of Ayurved & Research center, Pimpri, Pune on the topic “Superiority trials”.
