Dr. Nivedita Sarkar currently serve as Assistant Professor at the Department of Radiation Oncology, School of Medicine, Faridabad

  • Part of ADD ASPIRIN trial (A phase III, double-blind, placebo-controlled randomised trial assessing the effects of aspirin on disease recurrence and survival after primary therapy in common non-metastatic solid tumours) under the aegis of MRC UK as a delegated co-investigator from January 2022 to February 2023.
  • Part of PRIME trial (Randomised controlled trial of Prostate Radiotherapy In high risk and node positive disease comparing Moderate and Extreme hypofractionation) in collaboration with TMH, Mumbai from January 2022 to February 2023.
  • Part of HYPORT adjuvant trial (Hypofractionated radiation therapy comparing a standard radiotherapy schedule over three weeks with a novel one week schedule in adjuvant breast cancer – an open label randomised controlled trial) a multi-institutional study led by TMC, Kolkata from January 2022 to February 2023.
  • Part of Audit of outcomes in oral carcinoma at Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata leading to an outcome prediction model from January 2022 to February 2023

  • Performed intracavitary, interstitial and vaginal brachytherapy for gynaecological cancers independently at KIDWAI and Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital.
  • Performed head and neck cancer as well as breast cancer interstitial brachytherapy independently at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital.
  • Assisted in prostate brachytherapy and hepatobiliary brachytherapy at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital.
  • Assisted in IORT breast brachytherapy at Narayana Health City, Bangalore.
