Dr. R. S. Jayaram serves as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Nagercoil Campus. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree (under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) from Anna University, Chennai, specializing in Polymer Composites.

He has around 13 years of teaching and research experience. His areas of interest include Polymer Composites, Sandwich Panels, Nanomaterials, Image Processing, Optimization Techniques and Material Characterization. He has published research papers in reputed journals.
