Bio

Rayappa David Amar Raj has submitted his Ph.D. thesis in Electrical Engineering at NIT Warangal, specializing in solar power optimization and edge-AI-based fault analytics. He holds an M.Tech in Power Systems Engineering from NIT Agartala and a B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Pondicherry Engineering College. His research focuses on AI applications in smart electrical systems, solar PV fault detection, lightweight deep learning, and smart grid cybersecurity, with contributions spanning advanced areas like federated learning, XAI, reinforcement learning, and quantum AI. He has published 18+ SCI-indexed journal articles in reputed journals such as IEEE, ASME Transactions, Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, and acts as a reviewer in top-tier journals including IEEE and Elsevier. He received the Best Research Journal Award (2024–25) from NITW Alumni Association and had a highly cited article recognized in 2023. He has presented at multiple national forums, organized international conferences, and contributed to book chapters. He has served as Senate Representative for Ph.D. scholars at NIT Warangal during 2023–24 demonstrating both academic excellence and leadership in various activates.
