Bio

Dr. Rayappa David Amar Raj obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from NIT Warangal, specializing in solar power optimization and edge-AI-based fault analytics. He holds an M.Tech in Power Systems Engineering from NIT Agartala and a B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Pondicherry Engineering College. His research focuses on AI applications in smart electrical systems, solar PV fault detection, lightweight deep learning, and smart grid cybersecurity, with contributions spanning advanced domains such as federated learning, explainable AI (XAI), reinforcement learning, and quantum AI. He has published over 40 articles in reputed journals, including IEEE, ASME Transactions, Elsevier, Wiley, and Taylor & Francis, and serves as a reviewer for leading journals published by IEEE and Elsevier. He received the Best Research Journal Award (2024–25) from the NITW Alumni Association, and one of his articles was recognized as a highly cited paper in 2023. He has presented his research at several national forums, organized international conferences, and contributed to book chapters. He also served as the Senate Representative for Ph.D. scholars at NIT Warangal during 2023–24, demonstrating both academic excellence and leadership in various activities.
