Reshma Sanal completed M.Tech in Biotechnology from PSG College of Technology and B.Tech Biotechnology from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and is currently employed as Assistant Professor (On Contract) in the School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore. Her M.Tech thesis was on “The key components of the octadecanoid pathway during various abiotic stresses in Sesamum indicum L.”. She did her internship at AVRDC- The World Vegetable Centre, Taiwan and worked on characterizing Maruca vitrata and its natural enemies at molecular level and succeeded in obtaining the unavailable genome information of Nemorilla maculosa, Phanerotoma leucobasis and Phanerotoma syleptae. The sequences have been deposited in the NCBI database. She has also worked in the Department of Pharmacology under ICMR funded project titled “Elucidation of neuroprotective mechanism of brain angiotensin in middle cerebral artery occluded rat model”. Currently she is pursuing her PhD in AI assisted agriculture management system.
