Bio

Sunij S. Nair is the Vice Chairperson and Assistant Professor in Visual Media and Communication at the Amrita School of Arts, Humanities and Commerce, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus. He has more than 17 years of academic and industry experience in multimedia technology, visual communication, and digital media education.

His academic work focuses on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Media Education, Visual Communication, and Digital Creativity. His research investigates how AI-powered tools and emerging technologies influence creativity, design practices, learning outcomes, and digital media production.

Sunij’s work contributes to the growing body of research on AI-assisted creativity, generative design technologies, and human–AI collaboration in creative industries. He has published research in Scopus-indexed international journals and conferences addressing the role of artificial intelligence in design, media production, and higher education.

In addition to teaching and research, he plays an active leadership role at Amrita Mysuru. He serves as Vice Chairperson of the Visual Media and Communication program and Admissions Convenor for UG and PG programs, contributing to academic program development, institutional outreach, and digital communication initiatives.

He is also actively engaged in academic training, workshops, and professional development programs across universities and media institutions in India.
