Bio

Dr. Vishnu U. currently serves as Associate Professor at the Department of Panchakarma, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri.

He completed his graduation in Ayurveda from the prestigious Amrita School of Ayurveda, Vallikkavu, Kollam in the year 2010 under Amrit Vishwa Vidyapeetham University. He pursued his Post Graduation in Panchakarma from the most renowned SDM College of Ayurveda, Hassan under Rajiv Gandhi University in the year 2013. He did his thesis compilation on “Comparative Study between Madanaphala Shalatu Choorna and Madanaphala Pippali Choorna as Vamaka Yoga in the Management of Tamaka Swasa”.  After his Post-graduation, Dr. Vishnu joined as an Assistant Lecturer at SRS Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Sikandarpur, Agra, affiliated to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra, in the year 2015. He served as a lecturer in the Department of Panchakarma in this college for 6 years and was promoted to Associate Professor in the year 2021. Then he joined Amrita School of Ayurveda, Kollam, as an Associate Professor in the Department of panchakarma. He has been serving in this position since 26 April 2021 and is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical practice, and research.

He is supported with a well-established and traditional ayurvedic background of his forefathers. He has presented and attended many National and International seminars. He is an active member in different social organizations like Freemasonry, Rotary International, Medical wing of Isha, etc.
