  • Master’s degree or coursework in Soil Science / Agronomy / Environmental Sciences/Botany, Basic data handling skills (Excel, GIS, or statistical software).
Job description

  • The Research Assistant will support the establishment and operation of a Soil Health Field Laboratory under the TAG Sustainable Agriculture and Livelihood initiative at the Amrita School for Sustainable Futures, Amritapuri.

  • The position focuses on field-based soil health assessment, laboratory analysis, data management, and community-oriented sustainable agriculture research.
Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and development of the Soil Health Field Laboratory. 

  • Support soil testing before and after field interventions 

  • Maintain accurate records and databases of soil test results, field observations, and experimental metadata. 

  • Assist in documentation and reporting, including preparation of field reports, progress notes, photographs, and technical summaries.
