Qualification

  • PhD (CSE/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering), M.Tech, and B.Tech in relevant disciplines from a reputed institute, either in India or abroad.

  • The candidate should have a proven track record of research in robotics, artificial intelligence, mechanical design, and/or any allied domain.
Job description

  • The Liaison Executive will be responsible for managing official coordination and follow-up with government offices, statutory authorities, public institutions and other branches/campuses on behalf of the Amrita Office of Public Relations.

  • The role includes handling official communications, documentation, approvals, submissions, appointment coordination, maintaining liaison records, supporting institutional representation, and ensuring timely completion of external processes and compliances while upholding professionalism, confidentiality, and institutional interests.
Skills Required

  • Robot Operating System (ROS) • Python, C, C++, MATLAB/Simulink

  • Robot programming, Control architecture 

  • Sensor integration, Exposure to open source and commercial robot simulation platforms 

  • Mechanical Engineering Design & Analysis, CAD/FEA software 

  • AI/ML Algorithms, tools and platforms
Essential Attributes/Requirements

  • A demonstrated passion for research, project execution, and product development with a focus on commercial or social applications, along with some teaching experience. 

  • Strong inclination towards time-bound consultancy assignments and securing funded projects. 

  • Proven record of publications in SCI/Scopus indexed journals, with an interest in authoring books or contributing to book chapters. 

  • Research focus on addressing societal, national, and environmental challenges. 

  • Excellent communication skills, combined with extensive knowledge across domains. 

  • Interest in interdisciplinary and collaborative research initiatives. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and establish rapport with students. 

  • Willingness to relocate to Chennai or nearby locations for work. 

  • A sense of pride in India’s rich culture and ancient heritage.
Experience

  • Candidates should preferably have experience or exposure to research in the following areas:
     AL / ML / Data Science
    Robotic, ROS
    Design, Synthesis of Mechanisms and Machines-SLAM
