Chennai, August 30, 2025: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai, celebrated its 3rd Graduation Day for the B.Tech. 2021–25 batch, awarding degrees to 475 graduates across engineering disciplines.

The event was graced by Shri Padmakumar E.S., Distinguished Scientist & Director, Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR), Sriharikota, as Chief Guest, and Shri Sanoj Somasundaran, Chief Technology Officer, SKF India, as Guest of Honour. The ceremony was presided over by Sampoojya Swami Ramakrishnananda Puri, Treasurer, Mata Amritanandamayi Math and Member, Board of Management, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

Graduates received blessings from Amma, Satguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Chancellor of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, through her message. Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean, School of Engineering, Coimbatore, delivered the welcome address. The Registrar, Dr. P. Ajith Kumar, presented the graduands for the award of degrees, which were conferred by Swami Ramakrishnananda Puri, who also gave Vedic instructions from the Taittiriya Upanishad and administered the traditional graduation oath.

In his keynote, Shri Padmakumar E.S. inspired the graduates, saying:
“Do not just follow others’ paths—find your own. Stay hungry, stay curious, and be brave enough to innovate for the future.”

Addressing the gathering, Shri Sanoj Somasundaran urged students to see graduation as a fresh beginning:
“This is your new zero—a starting point for a new journey. Success is built not only on skills but on passion, gratitude, and resilience. Keep learning, be courageous to experiment, and ensure your work benefits both society and the environment.”

Medals and rank certificates were awarded to toppers. Ms. Pabbisetty Harshini, Chancellor Medal Winner, speaking on behalf of the graduating class, expressed: “Graduating from Amrita is a moment of immense happiness and pride. Here, we found not just world-class education, but a nurturing environment that shaped our values and friendships for life. Amrita has given us the confidence to step into the future with purpose and compassion.”

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. V. Jayakumar, Principal, Amrita School of Engineering & Computing, Chennai, followed by the National Anthem.
