A team of five students from Amrita’s Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security has won the grand prize of ₹2.5 lakh at the national Guidewire DEVTrails University Hackathon 2025. Competing as ClusterBlusters, the team was recognised for their project KubeBoom, a real-time Kubernetes monitoring and predictive analytics tool.
The winning team comprises Anaswara Suresh M.K., Adithya N S, Avi Nair, C S Amritha, and R Sruthi. They developed KubeBoom in two stages: first, training machine-learning models on open telemetry data to identify early signs of pod-health anomalies; then, integrating large language models to provide automated remediation solutions that reduce downtime.
The competition saw participation from over 150 teams nationwide. After clearing initial remote evaluations, ClusterBlusters were shortlisted to the top five and received mentorship at Guidewire’s Bengaluru office. They presented their solution at the DevSummit 2025 DemoJam before an audience of over 1,500 engineers and industry leaders, where they secured the unanimous first prize.
TIFAC-CORE in Cyber Security, established under India’s Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council, offers students a robust platform to engage with real-world challenges in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and cybersecurity.
