SRISHTI 2025: Kerala’s First-Ever Live Makeathon for Schools Concludes at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

AMMACHI Labs and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission, Samagra Shiksha Kerala, IEEE, and IIIT Kottayam, hosted the state-level innovation platform for school students (Classes 6–12), culminating in the Grand Finale of SRISHTI 2025 on September 21 at Amrita’s Kochi campus.

The event marked a historic milestone as Kerala’s first-ever live makeathon for schools, where students were given surprise problem statements on the spot and tasked with designing, prototyping, and pitching their solutions within hours.

The finale was graced by Swami Poornamritananda Puri, General Secretary of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, alongside eminent dignitaries, industry leaders, and academic experts, all of whom encouraged young innovators to embrace creativity and bold thinking.

Event Highlights:

  • 110 student innovators from 13 districts (with one-third from government schools)
  • 90+ teacher mentors guiding participants
  • 5 problem statements revealed live
  • 70+ student volunteers supporting the event
  • 280+ total participants in attendance

  • Team Next Gen Carebotics – Ansar English School, Thrissur
  • Team AVS Team III – AVS GHSS Karivellur, Kannur
  • Team INNOVISION – Aishwarya Public School, Kollam

Beyond a competition, SRISHTI 2025 emerged as a statewide platform for creativity, collaboration, and social innovation, inspiring Kerala’s next generation of students to think boldly and design solutions for a sustainable future.
