An Intelligent Controller Based Shunt Hybrid Filter for Harmonic Reduction in Adjustable speed drives

The project titled “An Intelligent Controller Based Shunt Hybrid Filter for Harmonic Reduction in Adjustable speed drives” is funded by DST. Dr. M. R. Sindhu, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Engineering, Coimbatore, is the Principal Investigator of the project.

Design, fabrication and testing of an intelligent controller for the shunt hybrid filter

  • To attain harmonic and reactive power compensation
  • Reduce rating of the active filter
  • Integrate renewable sources with the adaptive shunt hybrid filter
  • Hybrid AC/DC supply system is maintained to feed AC Drives and DC Drives.
