Abstract : Bala (child) has many peculiarities when compared to adults, like Aparipakwadhatu (immature tissues), Ajathavyanjanam (incompletely developed secondary sexual characters), Sukumaram (delicate), Akleshasaha (inability to tolerate hardships), Asampurna bala (incomplete strength), Vakchestayor asamarthya (inability to express, communicate their difficulties), Shleshma dhatupraya (predominance of Kapha). Balyavastha (Child-hood) is given special importance in Kaumarabhritya (Paediatrics). Children who are delicate and weak from a very young age suffer from various ailments due to their weak immunity and also because of poor digestive ca-pacity. Bala (strength), Vyadhikshamatva (immunity), and Agni (digestive fire) are in one way or another related to the well-being of children. Prashana is a concept related to the feed or diet of a child, or something that is given before the food is served. Among the various types of Prashana practised in children, such as Phalaprashana, Annaprashana, Swarnaprashana, and Amritadighritaprashana, there is an Anubhuta yoga closely related to Swarnamritaprashana. With Guduchi (Amrita) as the main ingredient, this combination in-cludes other herbs such as Brahmi, Shankhapushpi, Vacha, Ashwagandha, Yashtimadhu, Jatamansi, Pippali, Ghrita (ghee), and Madhu (honey). With the majority of its ingredients possessing Medhya (nootropic), Ra-sayana (rejuvenative), Balya (strength-promoting), and Vyadhikshamatva vardhana (immunity-enhancing) prop-erties, this formulation is one of the most beneficial medications for children. Proper supplementation of such formulations, which can positively promote the Agni (digestive fire), Bala (strength), Medha (intellect), and Vyadhikshamatva (immunity), contributes towards a better, healthier future generation.
