Abstract : Grafted copolymers have become a reliable approach in drug delivery, offering the controlled release of drugs that can enhance their effectiveness while minimizing potential toxicity. This approach involves attaching a hydrophilic polymer to a hydrophobic drug molecule, resulting in a stable drug-polymer conjugate. Grafted copolymers offer numerous benefits, including improved drug solubility, enhanced stability, sustained release, and targeted delivery. Recent advancements in this field have focused on developing innovative grafting techniques, optimizing polymer structures, and enhancing drug loading efficiency. This chapter comprehensively overviews the latest advancements in CDD utilizing grafted copolymers. It covers various topics, including the types of polymers utilized, drug release mechanisms, and various drug delivery applications. The chapter also addresses the challenges and prospects in this area, emphasizing the importance of improving the biocompatibility and biodegradability of grafted copolymers for safe clinical utilization.
