Abstract : Wireless communication has become a transformative impact on numerous sectors, leading to the creation of novel products and functionalities. Among these technologies, Bluetooth Low Energy has emerged as an important protocol first introduced in 2009 to meet needs of low power and battery-operated devices. With years passing by, Bluetooth LE went through substantial changes including low duty cycle directed advertising, secure connections with data length extension, and new PHY layer types enhancing throughput. These improvements have established the position of Bluetooth LE as a foundation for both consumer electronic and engineering industries. The objective of this paper is to discuss intricacies that characterize Bluetooth LE by focusing on its diverse features that influence device performance. By assessing these parameters, the study intends to provide suggestions towards maximizing Bluetooth LE utilization for different applications. Further, it looks at possible uses of features in Bluetooth LE in this paper. Consequently, aiming to contribute an improved understanding about what can be done using Bluetooth Low Energy as well as its potential role in wireless communications innovation in future years.
