Abstract : Literature analysis over the past 10 years was conducted using Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Scopus data base. The genus Solanum comprises over 2000 species, with 17 investigated for cancer potential. Initially, 5550 articles were screened using keywords such as “Cancer” and “Solanum,” resulting in 1800 relevant records. Of these, 750 articles were further included based on specific inclusion/exclusion criteria such as originality, specificity, and relevance. Additionally, the literature has identified four emerging biomolecules from the genus. After removing duplicates, a total of 88 articles were included, focusing on the most prominent species based on clinical and preclinical evidence.
