Abstract : Object detection algorithms are powerful tools for identifying and locating objects in various scenarios. They can be used in many applications including surveillance, self-driving cars, fire detection, etc. Fire detection is a critical area with profound implications for many industries. Early detection is essential for preventing catastrophic damage and saving lives. For example, fire detection robots equipped with object detection algorithms could be deployed to remote or inaccessible areas to detect and report fires. In this paper, we analyze various object detection algorithms for fire detection. We evaluate on a dataset of fire images and videos and demonstrate the results. Our model is also able to detect fires with good accuracy, making it suitable for practical applications. We believe object detection algorithms have the potential to revolutionize fire detection response. Our work provides a foundation for developing and deploying fire detection systems that can save lives and protect property.
