Abstract : The financial sector has been feeling the tremors of the digital revolution for some time now. The same trend is occurring within the insurance sector which has seen minimal disruption over an extended period. This study aims to identify current trends in the scholarly literature on the topic of global trends and research hotspots in Insurtech. It was done by applying a bibliometric review of documents published in the Scopus database. We analysed Insurtech-related publications on Scopus based on keywords relevant to Insurtech in the article's titles, keywords and abstract. The focus of this study is mainly on the Co-Authorship Analysis of Countries and the Co-Occurrence Analysis of Keywords based on textual data. In this regard, 394 publications were identified by using the keywords ‘InsurTech AND Natural Language’ OR ‘InsurTech AND Big data’ OR ‘InsurTech AND Artificial Intelligence’ OR ‘InsurTech AND IoT’ OR ‘InsurTech AND Blockchain’ OR ‘InsurTech AND Cloud Computing’ OR ‘InsurTech AND Machine Learning’ OR ‘InsurTech AND Telematics’ OR ‘InsurTech AND Chatbots’ OR ‘InsurTech AND Cybersecurity’ to create the mapping. The study was done by data visualization using the Vos Viewer software application. During the data processing, standard bibliometric indicators like the year of publication, language, document type, source title, source type, study field, keyword analysis, also authorship were used. The date of publications on InsurTech starts from the Scopus database started in 2018 till 2024. The results prove that scientific research about Insurtech has been increasing while there has been considerable attention to the implications of technology in the Insurance sector. Moreover, we analyzed the countries whose authors have advanced InsurTech research. The findings show that Spain leads, followed by Italy, Switzerland, the USA, and India.
