Abstract : The concept of benchmarking regions based on their healthcare performances has been cited by several researchers and implemented by different governments for preparing policies and for the reduction of inequity among regions. In this research work, a knowledge discovery based interactive Decision Support System has been developed on web platform for clustering regions based on their educational, social, and economic parameters for segmenting regions into good performing, moderate performing, and poor performing MCH regions. Hierarchical and Kmeans clustering techniques have been utilized for segmenting 284 India districts. In developing countries like India where resource is a big constraint, Government and healthcare managing nodal agencies should incorporate knowledge discovery based DSS in their processes of healthcare policy-making.
