Abstract : Information communication technology has had many breakthroughs that have gone far in improving our quality of life. Telemedicine is one among the upcoming applications of wireless communication and embedded systems used to provide healthcare assistance remotely. This paper focuses on transmitting vital signals from a sensor device to an Android application and analyse the patient’s criticality. These signals are routed in real-time to specialized doctors in the urban sector. The transmission of these BP signals from a moving emergency response vehicle is sent to a well-equipped healthcare center in order to ensure efficient pre-hospitalization care of the patient. A telemedicine system can be implemented in remote places using a mobile network and it can be a system for transmitting patient records also. Patient data can be either transmitted in real-time or by using store and forward mechanism. At the end, the doctor would be provided with a complete analysis of the patient records to provide further medical support. The foremost objective is to monitor BP, and analyse the patient criticality with regards to a moving ambulance in order to get efficient and fast medical aid.
