Abstract : The outbreak of the novel Coronavirus has taken the lives of many and has increased the demand for new and innovative medical and testing equipment. In addition to that, the longing to retain normalcy, during these difficult times, is also required. Industry 4.0 is the contemporary phase of the Industrial revolution whose backbone is ‘cyber-physical’ systems. It is automation of the conventional industrial and manufacturing processes using the latest technology. This paper aims to show an in-depth evaluation done on the technologies of industry 4.0 and their implementation during the Covid-19 pandemic. It also gives an overview of the major technologies used and their range of operation, towards making societies better and saving lives.
