Abstract : The emerging technology of Microgrid (MG) is required to fulfill the objective of increased robustness in terms of availability, efficiency, reliability, and green energy usage. Various kinds of sophisticated control techniques are developed to realize these goals. However, due to the requirement of a costly hardware testbed, various challenges in the development and validation of the control strategy are faced by the academic world. Real-time simulation is the promising solution that allows the smooth implementation of the complex microgrid testbed with the development of real-time control hardware to realize and validate the optimal control scheme. This paper conveys the real-time validation of autonomous microgrid network which implement the idea of demand side management (DSM) with the support of voltage-current (V-I) droop. The control strategy adopts a high bandwidth current and low bandwidth voltage regulator to develop the predefined voltage. The potency of the DSM enabled control mechanism is realized through a virtual Typhoon HIL 402.
