Abstract : The paper addresses the issue of voltage and frequency of the parallel type autonomous microgrid structure. There are two PV sources connected in parallel fashion to provide electrical energy to the microgrid structure. The decentralized controller is interlinked with the PV sources to regulate the voltage, current, power, and frequency of the overall system. The varying irradiance of PV panel is used to test the efficacy of controller in real time situation. An f-VI/PQ controller regulates the frequency of the microgrid network to a predetermined range. The decentralized controller comprises of outer loop for controlling voltage, inner loop for controlling current, droop mechanism and frequency regulator. The scenario of power, voltage & current is discussed in the paper to demonstrate the capability of the control mechanism. The design of the microgrid network has been performed in MATLAB environment and simulation results are presented to validate the proposed data.
