Spacious Acoustic Studio

Computer Labs

Computer Labs at the school are equipped with advanced and sophisticated network computing environment with State of Art Technology.  Over 280 desktop systems are networked over fast Ethernet and Wireless LAN using switches and routers with high-speed internet connectivity installed with advanced programming tools and multimedia features.

Lab Details

  • There are 5 labs each with 36 workstations that are well maintained under the supervision of the lab technicians. The computers have newer versions of software installed in them providing each student with their own private drive. The systems are periodically upgraded.  Each lab has resources of internet and a printer. Also throughout the semester, students can work on the systems beyond the college hours
  • More than 180 nodes connected via Ethernet switches of the network ensuring that there is at least one high-end computer available to each student and faculty within the campus. Each terminal is not only loaded with the basic software, but also allows the student to access the more sophisticated design tools. The campus has 24 Mbps internet connection
  • The well-equipped labs at Amrita provide access to students on a 1:1 ratio

Library which is an integral part of academics is kept open even beyond college working hours for the benefit of its users.  An independent library management system, which is the part of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Management System helps the distribution of the books more easily.  It is user-friendly with a huge collection of volumes consisting of text books, reference books, general books along with CDs, National and International journals, magazines, periodicals of all kinds, and leading newspapers.

Gym, Sports & Games Facilities

Along with its focus on academics, the school encourages students in sports and games.  Regular coaching is provided to students for different games making it possible for them to get selected and participate in South Zone Inter-University level. A multipurpose gym is setup to train students in powerlifting and weightlifting.

  • The school facilitates the students with progression and overall development through physical education by providing gym and sport facilities. It promotes the student in physical activity participation
  • Outdoor sports such as cricket, football, basketball, volleyball as well as indoor games like table tennis, chess and carom is provided in the campus

Hostel And Transport

The school extends the hostel facility to outstation students providing a secure, calm, and homely atmosphere.  Campus hostel has two separate blocks for boys and girls accommodating around 750 students with hot water supplied to all blocks with the support and loving care of resident wardens both in boys and girls hostel.

  • The rooms are furnished with a bed and shelves for each occupant
  • The hostel primarily provides study rooms along with internet facility like Wi-Fi and TV rooms available at both hostels
  • A convenience store and local / STD / ISD facilities are available at the campus
  • Medical care is provided for the students during emergency at our hospital – Amritakripa
  • Amrita provides its local students with pickup and drop facility from strategic point in the city

AUMS – Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Management System, an online data-cum-resource management software is used at Amrita to maintain student, staff, and resource records resulting in increased efficiency and accuracy in routine processes. It includes modules on admission, administration, academics, accounts, examination, library, and others.
