Students of Amritapuri Campus won various prizes at the annual cultural fest of NIT Calicut, Ragam 2015 held from March 26-29, 2015. Even during the busy schedule of the periodicals and academic pressures they were able to achieve this goal.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by the Chancellor Master and Scholars of the University of Oxford acting for its Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology and by Dr. Bipin Nair, the Dean of Amrita School of Biotechnology, for Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on January 12th, 2015.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will now be able to access new technology after being named a CUDA Research Center by NVIDIA. With this Amrita will join Imperial College London, Purdue University, IIT Rourkee and others as a NVIDIA designated research center.

At the Amrita School of Biotechnology this week, Dr. Nagase, Professor at University of Oxford, addressed the students and faculty on his work concerning matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs).
The work entitled “Effect of Cristallinity of Nb2O5 Electron Blocking Layer in Dye Sensitized Solar Cells” won the best poster award in the Physical Sciences section, at the 102nd Indian Science Congress (ISC) 2015. The award carries prize money of Rs.5, 000/- besides a Certificate of Merit. The conference was held at the University of Mumbai from January 3-7, 2015.
