Job Description

  • This position is part of the SIGMA (Signal, Imaging and Medical Analytics) Research Group, focusing on AI-enabled healthcare technologies and wearable monitoring systems.

  • The selected candidate will be involved in: - Development of intelligent signal processing and machine learning techniques for biomedical data analysis. - Design and implementation of embedded AI solutions for real-time healthcare applications. - Development of wearable sensing and monitoring systems. - Validation of healthcare analytics solutions using physiological signal datasets.

  • The selected candidate will also have opportunities to collaborate with clinicians, healthcare researchers, and embedded systems experts through interdisciplinary healthcare technology initiatives.

  • The position offers opportunities to participate in nationally and internationally funded research projects supported by agencies such as DST, ICMR, SERB-ANRF, and related funding bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and lead high-impact research in biomedical signal processing and intelligent healthcare systems. - Develop and evaluate algorithms for physiological signal analysis and healthcare monitoring applications.

  • Design and prototype wearable sensing platforms for real-world deployment.

  • Supervise and guide undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral researchers in the team.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to grant proposals, research publications, patents, and industrial partnerships.

Desirable Skills

  • Strong foundation in signal processing, machine learning, and biomedical data analytics.

  • Experience with physiological signal analysis such as EEG, EMG, ECG, or related biosignals.

  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems, IoT devices, or wearable sensing platforms.

  • Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or related development environments
