Bio

Dr. Gorthala Guruprasad is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Chennai. He recently completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, IIT Bombay, and earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad.

His research is highly interdisciplinary, with contributions to nanomaterials synthesis, characterization, first-principles simulations, and development of chemiresistive gas sensors for environmental and health monitoring. He has published in top-tier journals like IEEE Sensors Journal, ACS Applied Polymer Materials, and Applied Surface Science, and has also filed a patent in the field of gas sensing.
