Bio

Dr. Rahul S G currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai campus.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering with first-class distinction, followed by a Master’s degree in Control and Automation with distinction. He earned his Doctoral degree in Control Systems from the School of Electrical Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, in 2019.

Dr. Rahul S G has over 10 years of combined experience in teaching and researchalong withone year of industry experience in the aerospace domain. He has authored 70+ research publications indexed in SCOPUS and 15+ publications in Web of Science, and has presented his research work at several reputed international conferences. He has also guided numerous undergraduate and postgraduate academic and industry-oriented projects.

His research interests span IoT-enabled intelligent systems, control systems, embedded systems, and smart solutions for sustainable agriculture. He actively collaborates with international researchers and has been involved in acquiring about Rs. 30 Lakhs of funding from international bodies such as IEEE for various research, technical and professional development activities. He has experience in organizing technical symposiums, workshops and industry–academia interaction events.

He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He currently serves as the Treasurer of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS), Madras Chapter, for the calendar years 2026 and 2027, and is also an Executive Committee Member of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS), Madras Chapter.
