Bio

Dr. Sumanta Kumar Nanda holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He completed his M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and earned his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from BijuPatnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela. He served at HPTU from August 2015 to June 2017, JECRC University, Jaipur from August 2017 to March 2019, and most recently, at IIIT Bhubaneswar from April 2024 to May 2025.

During his doctoral research at IIT Indore, Dr. Nanda focused on the development of advanced filtering techniques to address cyber-attacked and irregular sensor measurement data. His work finds applications in power system state estimation and extends to other domains involving complex dynamical systems.
