Qualification

  • Ph.D. in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related disciplines.

  • Strong research background with quality publications and presentations.

  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Discrete Event Simulation.

  • Exposure to Python coding, machine learning algorithms, and data-driven analytical techniques.

  • Knowledge of optimization, production systems, and performance analysis.

  • Experience in industrial problem-solving and industry-oriented case studies.

  • Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills.
Job Description

  • Applications are invited for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow in Operations and Manufacturing Management.

  • The candidate will work on solving real-time industrial problems and developing industry-oriented case studies related to manufacturing and service operations.

  • The research focus includes productivity enhancement, process improvement through lean manufacturing principles, and simulation of manufacturing systems to analyze performance measures such as throughput, cycle time, bottlenecks, and resource utilization.

  • The candidate is expected to collaborate with industries, conduct simulation and analytical studies, publish research outcomes, and contribute to consultancy and sponsored research projects.
