Amrita College of Nursing organized a health awareness workshop with the aim of raising awareness about health protection among school students. The event was held at Amrita Vidyalayam, Kodungallur, where over a hundred students participated in various health education activities.
The workshop was conducted by students and faculty members from Amrita College of Nursing, who created a platform for school students to learn about health and wellness. The event was inaugurated by Dr. K.T. Moly, Principal of Amrita College of Nursing. Swamini Gurupriyamrita Prana, Principal of Amrita Vidyalayam, Kodungallur, presided over the inauguration ceremony. Mrs. Rohini Jayaram, Academic Advisor at Amrita Vidyalayam, and Prof. Nidhin Elias, Professor at Amrita College of Nursing, were also present at the ceremony.
As part of the workshop, classes and activities focused on the message of “Know, Resist Drugs”, emphasizing the importance of identifying, preventing, and combating drug abuse. The students actively participated in various health-related programs, which included performances such as group songs, mime, puppet shows, and group dance, all organized by Amrita College of Nursing students.
This health awareness program was designed to empower school students with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions regarding their health, encouraging a culture of wellness, prevention, and positive living.
