As part of 𝐀𝐦𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦 𝟕𝟐, celebrating the 72nd Birthday of our beloved Chancellor, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, organized a seed ball-making initiative. Rooted in the values of compassion, service, and sustainability, students from the Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore actively participated in the activity, embracing Amma’s vision and spreading the message of sustainability and environmental care.
ASB, Coimbatore also observed 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐩 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 through a collaborative initiative with 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐤𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐢, a local NGO. n line with UNESCO’s sustainability goals and Amma’s 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 launched in 2010 to promote environmental responsibility, public hygiene, and civic awareness, a cleanup drive was organized along the railway tracks in the Navakkarai region. Faculty, staff, and students of ASB joined hands with NGO volunteers and the Forest Department officials of the Madukkarai Division to carry out the initiative. The team meticulously cleaned the railway track surroundings and successfully collected 13 bags of waste, making a meaningful contribution to environmental preservation and community well-being.
This initiative not only encouraged active community participation but also reaffirmed ASB’s commitment to sustainability and its role in nurturing socially responsible citizens.
