The Anti-Ragging Awareness Program was held at Amrita School of Pharmacy on 15th September 2025. The theme of this year’s program was “Break the Chain: Stop Ragging and Say No to Drugs.” The event was organized by the Anti-Ragging Committee of Amrita School of Pharmacy and conducted by Samudra, the Pharm.D 2024 batch.
Dr. Subin Mary Zachariah, Convenor of the Anti-Ragging Committee, welcomed the gathering. This was followed by an address from the Chief Guest, Shri K.T. Manoj, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Cheranellore Police Station. He shared his extensive experience in law enforcement, highlighting the legal consequences of ragging and emphasizing the critical importance of adhering to anti-ragging regulations. Mr. Manoj also addressed the dangers of drug abuse and urged students to remain vigilant and promote a drug-free campus.
Dr. Sabitha M., Principal of Amrita School of Pharmacy, encouraged students to stay away from ragging and drug abuse by cultivating self-discipline, making responsible choices, and supporting their peers. She underlined that every student has the power to foster a positive environment by setting an example and standing firmly against harmful behaviors.
The awareness session effectively reinforced the values of respect and responsibility among students, motivating them to contribute to a safer and healthier academic community. The program concluded with the National Anthem at 12 Noon.
