The IEEE Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) 2026 of the IEEE Student Branch, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, was successfully held on January 28, 2026, at the Amriteshwari Hall, Amrita School of Engineering. The event brought together new and existing IEEE members and marked an important milestone for the student branch. The AGM was led by the newly elected office bearers for the year 2026, with Neeraj Krishnan serving as Chair, Prasannahariveeresh J R as Vice Chair, and Sreeraj R. Nair as Secretary. Dr. Sakthiprasad K M continued in his role as the IEEE Student Branch Counsellor, while Dr. Rajesh Kannan Megalingam served as the Student Branch Advisor. The event was graced by Dr. Remya Ajay as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Gayathri Narayanan was felicitated during the program.
During the meeting, Dr. Sakthiprasad K M, IEEE Student Branch Counsellor for the year 2025, presented a comprehensive overview of the activities conducted and the achievements accomplished by the IEEE Student Branch in 2025. As he has been selected as the Student Branch Counsellor for the year 2026 as well, he also outlined the proposed plans and activities for the upcoming year. He further announced the office bearers, including the core committee members, along with the office bearers of the IEEE Student Branch societies and affinity groups. The AGM set a strong foundation for another year of innovation, leadership, and impactful IEEE activities at the Amritapuri campus.
