Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Associate Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, has been awarded the IEEE Presidential Coin by the 2026 IEEE President & CEO, Ms. Mary Ellen Randall, in recognition of his volunteering, editorial, and leadership roles in IEEE for the past 15+ years. The presidential coin was presented during the IEEE Educational Activities Board (EAB) Mini-series 2026 at New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA, on 8 February 2026. Dr. Prashant has served IEEE in multiple capacities, such as Managing Editor of IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific region) Connect, Associate Editor of IEEE Potentials, Chair of IEEE.tv advisory committee, Member of IEEE Pre-University Education Coordinating Committee (PECC), and Chair-Publications of the IEEE Madras section.
