Inaugural Ceremony of Satvika Arts Club Celebrates Creativity and Tradition

The inaugural ceremony of the Satvika Arts Club was held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Arasampalayam Campus, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for students passionate about the arts. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, accompanied by a soulful prayer led by a first-year Master of Social Work (MSW) student, setting a reflective and serene tone for the occasion.

A key highlight of the ceremony, organized by the Social Science Department, was the unveiling of the Satvika logo, which embodies the club’s core vision and values. Rooted in artistic expression and cultural enrichment, Satvika aims to provide a platform for students to explore creativity while embracing the principles of harmony and aesthetic excellence.

Dr. Bhavani Rao, Director of AMMACHI Labs and Dean of the Amrita School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, was the esteemed guest for the event. In her address, Dr. Rao spoke on the profound concepts of Satyam (truth), Shivam (auspiciousness), and Sundaram (beauty), encouraging students to infuse their artistic pursuits with sincerity, depth, and passion. Her inspiring words resonated deeply, leaving students motivated to integrate these timeless principles into their creative endeavors.
