Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is proud to announce that Dr. Maneesha Vinodini Ramesh, Pro Vice-Chancellor, has been appointed as an Editor of Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences (NHESS), a leading Q1 international journal of the European Geosciences Union (EGU). The appointment is for a three-year term and reflects the global recognition of Dr. Maneesha’s contributions to disaster resilience, early warning systems, geospatial technologies, and multi-hazard risk research.
NHESS is one of the nineteen open-access journals of the European Geosciences Union published by Copernicus Publications. It operates a unique open discussion and transparent peer-review model, where submitted manuscripts appear first as preprints on EGUsphere. Referees and members of the scientific community contribute interactive comments before authors submit revised versions for final evaluation. This model has strengthened NHESS’s global influence in natural hazard science, risk assessment, and early warning systems.
