Onam Festival was celebrated on a grand scale at the School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, on August 31, 2016. The celebration started with a procession of students dressed up as deities. Chendamelam, Pulikali, Pookkalam, Thiruvathirakkali and Onappattu by the faculty members and students added colour to the occasion. Pujaneeya Swami Purnamritananda Puri distributed prizes to the winners of pookkalam competition and participants of the procession. The celebration concluded with a sumptuous Onam sadya and payasam distribution by Swamiji.
