Mr. Viswajith S Nair, PhD Scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, has been honored with the Outstanding Research Paper Award at the Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies & Industries (SIATI) Annual Function 2025, held at the Dr. VM Ghatage Convention Centre, Bangalore on 09/05/25.
The award was presented by Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Hon’ble Minister of State for MSME, Government of India, in the esteemed presence of Dr. Abhay Pashilkar, Director, NAL, and Mr. Jayakrishnan, CEO (HAL)
Mr. Viswajith received this recognition for his research on Digital Twin Development for Machining Titanium Alloys and Other Aerospace-grade Materials. The papers considered for the award were coauthored by Dr K Rameshkumar and Dr D SaravanaMurugan, Department of Mechanical Engineering
Dr K Rameshkumar, Professor and Chairperson of Mechanical Engineering department served as his Research Adviser attended the function and received the award along with Viswajith S Nair. Dr. Saravana Murugan, Associate Professor, who is his Co-Research Adviser.
It is also noted that the support and guidance extended by Dr. P. Krishnakumar, Associate Professor, and Dr. B. Venkataraman, Distinguished Professor, and their contributions have been invaluable in pursuing this research.
