Rural Women Drive Change Through Bihar’s Mukhyamantri Rojgar

Under the Mukhyamantri Rojgar Yojana of the Government of Bihar, women from rural Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are stepping forward to establish small-scale enterprises and create pathways for sustainable livelihoods.

In the villages of Ratanpur and Morasia, community facilitators successfully mobilized and submitted 70 applications at the Block Office—40 from Ratanpur and 30 from Morasia.

The aspiring women entrepreneurs have expressed a strong interest in ventures such as:

  • Dairy farming and livestock rearing
  • Vegetable cultivation
  • Plant nursery development
  • School uniform production

This growing enthusiasm highlights how rural women are not only embracing self-employment but also playing a pivotal role in strengthening the local economy. By tapping into government initiatives, they are building resilient communities and contributing to inclusive growth.
