AmritaCREATE, the Amrita Center for Research in Analytics & Technologies for Education at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, organized a one-day workshop on Online Labs at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ranchi, Jharkhand, on July 15, 2017. Twenty-seven science teachers from eleven schools participated in the workshop.

Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, Amrita School of Ayurveda, was invited to deliver a talk titled, “From Bench to Bedside: Research on Cancer in Ayurveda at Amrita University”, on May 23, 2017, at the National Cancer Institute, Shady Grove, Bethesda, Maryland, USA.

Twenty-nine science teachers from twenty-seven schools participated in the workshop.

Ram Manohar, Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ACARA), attended the Second International Conference on Integrative Medicine: Role of Yoga and Ayurveda on the theme “Role of Yoga and Ayurveda in Pain and Addiction Management”.

The AmritaCREATE Team of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, is one of eight semifinalists advancing in the $7 million Barbara Bush Foundation Adult Literacy XPRIZE presented by Dollar General Literacy Foundation. The Adult Literacy XPRIZE is a global competition, challenging teams to develop a mobile application for existing smart devices that results in the greatest increase in literacy skills among participating adult learners.
AmritaCREATE, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, has authored an article on Medical Virtual Patient Simulator (MedSim), which was featured as a cover story on Computer Society of India’s CSI Communications magazine of Computer Society of India (CSI) in its August 2017 issue with the theme, “ICT in Healthcare”.

O., Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amritapuri, participated in a five day, intensive workshop, from 18th to 22nd July, 2017, conducted by the American Chemical Society Global Chemists’ Code of Ethics Science & Technology Leadership Institutes Program (ACS GCCE STLIP).
