Medical Laboratory Technology students of Amrita Center for Allied Health Sciences, Ms. Reshma K.P. and Ms. Suraymya Babu won second prize in the poster presentation at SILEX 2015- the 16th Annual conference of SAMT (Students Association of Medical Laboratory Technologists) held from December 11-12, 2015 at Medical College, Kannur.

The conference was organized by the Indian Association of Physician Assistants (IAPA) in association with International Academy of Physician Associate Educators (IAPAE) & Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS).
Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Center(AIMS) has been awarded the coveted British Medical Journal Award 2015 for the Best Surgical Team of South Asia. The Amrita team won the award for its two successful double hand transplants. This is the second consecutive year that the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences received the BMJ Award. Its paediatric cardiology team won the award in 2014 for quality improvement in healthcare.
