The Cultural Exchange Program- 2016 was conducted successfully at the Viveka Tribal Center for Learning, H. D. Kote Taluk, Mysuru by the BCA students of Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Mysuru, under the guidance of K. Ganesha,and Dr. Priyadarshini S., Lecturers in Computer Science, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Mysuru.
A two day National Conference on ‘Structural, Institutional and Financial Sector changes (both Global and Indian) in the New Millennium and the Road Ahead’ was organized by the Department of Management and Commerce, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, from April 7-8, 2017.

The United Nations has officially made Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham India’s first-ever UNESCO Chair on Gender Equality & Women’s Empowerment. The official bestowing of the UNESCO Chair took place before an audience of 8,000 people during a spiritual programme of the University’s Chancellor Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi in Paris on October 30, 2016.
A workshop on ‘Broadcast Media in India – Program Production and Management’ was organized by the department of Visual Communication of School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, on October 26, 2016. Dr. Niranjan Vanalli, Professor, Writer and Freelance Journalist, Registrar, Music University, Mysore, was the resource person of the session.
On 27th October, 2016, a one-day national workshop on ‘IPv6 on IoT’ was conducted by Mr. Baldev Krishnamurthy, Founder and Managing Director, A2B2 IT Services Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru.
