Mr. Muralidhar Reddy, Resident Editor–The Hindu, New Delhi, addressed and interacted with the students of B. Sc. Visual Media and Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication of School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, on November 19, 2016. 

The various aspects related to journalism, such as special coverage, DN reporting, war reporting, reporting parliament and legislature and other areas of Niche Journalism was dealt in the session. The various news values and its significance in everyday news selection was also highlighted. Further the editorial policy and its impact on newspaper content and design was stressed upon, with appropriate citations of case studies and instances from the publications of The Hindu.
