The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) was established by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in collaboration with AICTE in 2018 to nurture a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in Higher Educational Institutions. IIC @ Amrita, Coimbatore Campus was established in the same year as mandated by the MIC and AICTE. The council aims to foster a strong culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the campus by engaging students, faculty, and staff in activities such as ideation, design thinking, IPR, and start-up development. Through these initiatives, Amrita IIC nurtures creative problem-solving and supports the transformation of innovative ideas into real-world solutions, aligning with the university’s vision of societal benefit through sustainable innovation.
