Bio

Dr. Amirthalakshmi.TM currently serves as Assistant Professor (OC), Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chennai.

She is a dedicated academic professional with over 13 years of rich experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in the domains of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

She recently completed a prestigious Post-Doctoral Fellowship in IoT and Cybersecurity at City, University of London (2023–2024), focusing on federated learning for privacy-preserving threat detection. Her contributions earned her the “Post Doc Fellow of the Year” award in 2025 and global recognition from MIT Square and Raise Global Innovation Forum.

She holds a Ph.D. in Low Power VLSI Design from Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, along with an M.Tech (Gold Medalist) and B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Pallavan college of engineering, affiliated to Anna University.

A passionate researcher, Dr. Amirthalakshmi has published over 25 articles in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals, presented at 7 conferences, and holds 8 patents in VLSI, AI, IoT, and biomedical systems.
