Dr. Shankara currently serves as Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Civil Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru campus. He completed his Ph. D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. His doctoral dissertation was titled “Influence of Admixtures on the Heavy Metal Retention and Behaviour of Soil Liners.”
