Bio

Dr. A. Muthukrishnaraj is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, since April 2025. He holds a Ph.D. in the domain of graphene-based nanocomposites, with his doctoral research focusing on the synthesis and characterization of metal oxide-incorporated graphene composites for photocatalytic applications in environmental remediation. His research interests span graphene, nanocomposites, photocatalysis, magnetic materials, computational chemistry, and AI/ML-driven approaches in materials informatics, with particular emphasis on energy and environmental applications. Dr. Muthukrishnaraj has authored over 30 international publications and contributed to 5 book chapters. He previously served as a Faculty Associate at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham from March 2024 to March 2025. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the Department of Science and Humanities, Faculty of Engineering, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore from July 2022 to August 2023. From February 2021 to June 2022, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, C.B.M College, Kovai Pudur, Coimbatore. His academic journey began at SRM University, Chennai, where he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry from August 2015 to January 2021. His cumulative academic and research experience reflects a strong interdisciplinary foundation in both experimental and computational materials science.
